Fatal crash -Tipperary.

At approximately 11.30am yesterday a 78 year old male was fatally injured when the car he was driving left the roadway and struck concrete pier on a local road at Gortnahoe near Thurles. The man was treated at the scene by emergency services but died a short time later. His body was removed to University Hospital Waterford for a post-mortem examination. He was the sole occupant of the car.
