Temporary Road Closure-N52

Kildare County Council, acting on behalf of Meath County Council under a Section 85 Agreement (Local Government Act 2001), hereby gives notice, in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, that it proposes to close the road described as follows:

Road to be Closed: The N52 between Kells and Ardee at Siddan Bridge

Date of Closure: For a continuous 4 week period commencing Monday, 27 June 2016 at 8.00 a.m. to Friday, 22 July 2016 at 6.00 p.m.

Hours of Closure: 24 Hours (each day)

This closure is required to facilitate Bridge Rehabilitation works on the N52 at Siddan Bridge, Co Meath.

Alternative Routes

Kells to Ardee: Divert from N52 at Grange onto the R162 north for approximately 15km to Kingscourt. Turn right in Kingscourt onto R179 onto Carrickmacross Road. After approximately 1km turn right onto R165 towards Drumconrath. Continue on R165 through Drumconrath for approximately 14km to N52 at Mandistown Cross Roads.

Ardee to Kells: Divert from N52 at Mandistown Cross Roads onto the R165 towards Drumconrath. Continue on R165 through Drumconrath towards Kingscourt for approximately 14km. Turn left onto R179 towards Kingscourt. Turn left in Kingscourt onto R162 south for approximately 15km to N52 at Grange.
