That's if you have a spare €7 million hanging around.

Local brewers of McGargles Irish craft beers, Rye River Brewing Company, has started a campaign to raise €7 million to fund its interesting growth plans.

The plans include developing new markets while also investing in building a visitors center which will be very beneficial to our local economy.

The capital will be raised both through crowdfunding and from outside investors. The crowdfunding campaign target is €100,000 and starts next week via Kickstarter. As the company is EIIS approved they are hoping to attract outside investors who will benefit from substantial tax relief.

Since moving to Celbridge last December the company has continued to grow with an estimated turnover of €12.5 million and profits before tax of €1 million. Rye River Brewing Company has ambitious plans to grow by 50% this year and to increase its output from 2 million liters to 11 million liters by 2019.

Rye River Brewing Company now employs 60 staff locally.
