Cllr Frank O’Rourke, Kildare North General Election Candidate has called on Bus Eireann to provide further improvements to the timetable for Kilcock commuters that use the Bus service to and from Dublin.
‘I have made strong representations to Bus Eireann to have an additional bus service in the morning. Last year, we were successful in securing an additional morning service after 8.00am but an additional one is required, in particular around the 7.00am slot.’
‘Having a regular and reliable public transport service is critical to encourage more and more people to use public transport, and I will continue to make representations to have our public transport services improved.’
‘I am aware of the increased fare structure that Kilcock commuters, that use the Kilcock rail service, are incurring at the moment. Kilcock Rail commuters need to be treated in a similar fashion to other rail commuters along the Maynooth Line. Currently this is not the case and I will continue to raise this with both the National Transport Authority and Iarnrod Eireann.’
‘I will continue to make representations on the issues that are being raised with me at my weekly Clinic in Kilcock.’ Concluded Cllr O’Rourke.
