The is a truly unmissable experience as we build up to Christmas by exploring the true meaning of the season as told by Christmas trees. The inside of the church is adorned with trees of all shapes and sizes some telling the traditional Christmas story while others tell the story of our community here in Maynooth and the surrounding area. As darkness comes in and this most picturesque of buildings is illuminated by fairy lights it truly is a winter wonderland experience for all ages.
The festival opens with a short service (tonight) Wednesday at 8pm followed by refreshments. The church is open for viewing on Thursday and friday from 2pm to 9pm. On Saturday we have a mini Christmas market and Santa's grotto opens, with viewing from 10am to 7pm. The festival closing on Sunday after viewing in the afternoon with a Christmas Songs of Praise at 4pm.
Admission to view the trees is via donation.
