I am currently working on a delivering another new project for Celbridge with Kildare County Council and the Tidy Towns. This project involves designing and developing a plan for a public garden/park in the current open and disused space on Maynooth Road beside “Arthur Guinness Welcome To Celbridge” cut stone and Crodaun phase two.

I have been working on this project with the different stakeholders for the last 18 months. In April of this year at the site we narrowed down the options which was sketched up by local sculpturer Jarlath Daly. The final design concept for this space was agreed at a meeting in August with the Tidy Towns, K.C.C and myself. The Council has now agreed to fund a full design proposal etc for the Park/Garden at this location. Once the design is completed I will engage with the Crodaun Residents Association so they can also have an input. Once it is all agreed it can then go to tender, during this time I will work with K.C.C to source funding.

This will be an excellent project for Celbridge once completed. It will give a lovely impression at the entrance to the town while giving this space an identity and a focal point. This project once completed will have the same significance for the town as other towns get from their town squares. It will also be a nice location for all the people which use this very busy walking route.
