Kildare County Council, acting on behalf of Longford County Council under a Section 85 Agreement (Local Government Act 2001), hereby gives notice, in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, that it will close the road described as follows:

Road to be Closed: at Knockanboy Bridge

Date of Closure: For a continuous 2 week periodfrom Monday, 23 May 2016at 8.00 a.m. to Monday, 6 June 2016 at 8.00 a.m.

Hours of Closure: 24 Hours (each day)

This closure is required to facilitate Bridge Rehabilitation works on the N63 at Knockanboy Bridge, Longford.

Alternative Routes

Longford to Lanesborough:

Divert at N63 (Ballymacormack) onto the R397 towards Keenagh. Continue R397 to junction with R392 at Terlicken. Take right onto R392 then onto Lanesborough.

Lanesborough to Longford:

At Lanesborough take R392 towards Ballymahon. After approximately 16km take left at Terlicken onto R397 to Longford via Keenagh.

Local Access will be maintained at all times.
