It is with sadness that another missing person is tragically taken from us. Our condolences to his friends and family.

Tierán's body was spotted by helicopter search teams in Galway Bay around 17:30 this evening and recovered by . the RNLI.

Gardaí request Letterkenny's help in locating Tiernán Archer a missing 19 year old student was last seen at the Galway Technical Institute and has not been seen since Thursday morning.

Tiernán was last seen at the Galway Technical Institute where he studies at 9am yesterday. Gardaí and Tiernán's family has launched an appeal to find him.

Tiernán's brother Breffni says a camera bag belonging to to his brother, described as "a valued possession of his that he would not misplace", was found in South Park, close to the college campus.

Tiernán Archer usually wears thick framed glasses and has light facial hair.
