Leixlip Youth & Community Centre will hold a Community Open Day on Saturday 21st November from 2pm-4pm.

On the day we will be showcasing the newly decorated Youth Room, as well demos and information on all the various activities the Centre has to offer.

We will have a free Bouncy castle in the main hall (supplied with thanks by Dreamtime Bouncy Castles) and loads more fun for all the family.

Centre Activities

Up to 25 groups use the Centre on a weekly basis, both community and voluntary groups as well as local and small businesses.Our activities range from classes for kids, to health & fitness, drama & dance, community groups and special interests groups, as well as rooms to rent for training, meetings or birthday parties.

In addition to our Youth Clubs, there are many other choices for kids and young people– Dance LA, Muse Academy Drama, Orla Gildea Speech & Drama, Claphandies Playlabs and our own Parent & Toddler Group. Health and Fitness activities include Bodyshape Bootcamp, Laura May Hatha Yoga, Spraoi Pilates and Weight Watchers.We also have Velvet Feet Social Dance classes, Indoor Bowls and Confey Castle Bridge Club.

There are a variety of support and special interest groups accessible at the Centre – North Kildare Junior Arch Club, Route 66 Senior Citizens Group, Irish Guide Dogs puppy classes, Turas Le Cheile, Mindfulness classes and a new Special Needs play therapy group.

The Centre is the location of offices for Kildare Youth Services, Breaking Through, Kildare Leader Partnership, Green Oak Marketing and Paul Hogan Architects.

Youth Room

The Youth Room was repainted and redecorated over the summer, with a fresh/modern new look.The project was supported by funding from the Kildare County Council Community Grant Scheme.A custom Minecraft wall mural was painted by local artist Brian Walsh, which features themes and symbols of Leixlip in a Minecraft style setting.Brian has also worked with Leixlip Tidy Towns on several outdoor improvement projects around Leixlip, and will be in attendance at the Open Day.
