Hi. I've been teaching music classes (mostly instruments) in Leixlip since 2002. Last summer, together with Colina McGarry & Geraldine Convery, I decided to put together a children & teens community band to allow kids/teens the opportunity to come together to play music as a group. We coach the group weekly on Monday nights in Confey community centre. Now that we have a few local performances under our belt we are looking to expand. We are in search of young people who would be interested in joining to perform flag routines (along the lines of cheer leading). They don't need to be able to play an instrument, but some dance experience would be beneficial. As this is a community & voluntary venture, any help promoting the band would be greatly appreciated. All dancers, gymnasts, musicians welcome.
