A 23 year old man has been arrested as part of an on going operation targeting the illegal sale and supply of controlled drugs in the Kildare area.

Gardaí have seized ammunition, €14,000 worth of cocaine and approximately €20,000 worth of cannabis herb.

The seizure followed a the planned search of a premises at Lower Belan, Moone, County Kildare on Sunday morning the 12th June 2016 shortly after midnight by Athy Gardaí, assisted by the Kildare District Drugs Unit and Athy Traffic Corps.

The 23 year old manwas arrested at the scene and is currently detained at Kildare Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 as amended.
