Peoples Choir of Ireland

The vision of Peoples Choir of Ireland is to have people from all walks of life and from all over Ireland come together and sing in unity.

In June I was at a conference in Co, Cork where I worked with 48 singers from 4 hours on a song they had never heard. We performed the song and were asked to do it the following night as the showcase song. Over half of the choir asked would I be willing to start a gospel choir in Leinster and after some thought I decided I would. I send out emails letting people know what I was doing and I had several people from outside of Leinster respond that they would love to come be part of the choir. The interest from other regions makes me realise I should just open the choir to anyone living in Ireland, as long as they were willing to come to rehearsals. I wanted the name to reflect the vision so that is where Peoples Choir of Ireland. It's a choir of the people of the great nation of Ireland.

We will meet one Saturday a month, starting 22nd August, and rehearse for about 3 hours. Each singer will have the lyrics and a CD with their part (soprano, alto, tenor, baritone) on it. You will be able to rehearse on your own all month then come together as a choir and practice what you have been learning. These rehearsals will run August-November with a concert in December. The venue for the concert is still being confirmed, but I will let you know as soon as possible.

I would love for you to be a part of this. I believe with hard work and dedication along with my experience with gospel choirs we have to potential to be one of the best choirs in Ireland.
