A woman in her 60s was fatally injured in a road traffic collision on Friday afternoon 29th April 2015 on the Limerick Road in Roscrea, Co. Tipperary.

The woman was the driver of a car which collided with a van at about 3.00pm. Two passengers in the car, a man in his 70s and a man in his 50s, were airlifted to University Hospital Limerick with serious injuries. The driver of the van was not injured.

A Garda investigation has begun into the cause of the crash and an forensic examination of the crash site was carried out.
