Gardaí are searching for a man who tried to kidnap two young girls on Friday evening in Donegal.
The two girls were out with their grandmother when incident happened around 6:15pm Drumkeen Co Donegal.
The man, driving a red Transporter-type van, described as clean-shaven and in his sixties, approached the two young sisters aged five and seven and asked them to get into his van that he wanted to bring them to the shop and buy them sweets.
The abductees fled when the grandmother appeared close by. The children's grandmother contacted the gardai immediately who have launched a manhunt to find the man.
This abduction attempt follows reports of attempts in Athy and Arklow recently.
Gardaí advise everyone in Ballymun to be extra vigilant and to warn your children of the risks.
