The R428 Courtown East and West from its junction with the N78 at Athy to its junction with the N80 at Stradbally.

The closure is required to facilitate the construction of a cattle underpass.

Alternative Route

Traffic from Athy will be diverted south on the N78. Turn right onto N80 and continue to Stradbally.

Traffic from Stradbally will be diverted south on N80. Turn left onto N78 and continue to Athy.

Diversionary routes, will be clearly signposted, as agreed with the Council and An Garda Síochána
