Serious Road Traffic accident - Charleville Co Cork on the 15th May 2016

Gardaí in Charleville, Co Cork are investigating a serious collision that occurred at Deerpark, Charleville, Co Cork on the 15th May 2016.

The collision occurred at approximately 3.20am on the Cork to Limerick Road(N20) at Deerpark, Charleville. A car collided with a 33 year old male pedestrian, he was seriously injured and taken to Cork University Hospital where his condition is described as serious. The male driver(46 years) and other occupants of the car were uninjured in the collision.

The road is closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision examination and is expected to remain closed until lunchtime approximately. Local diversions are in place.
