Spontaneous and compulsive are the words best used to describe the work of Philip McCarthy. Drawn towards colour he utilises every inch of the canvas, with his intricate use of shape to shape painting. With varied subject matter Philip expresses mood through colour and tone, while exploring form through texture. His priority is the process rather than the outcome.

Colour for the soul is Philip's second exhibition and features a collection of Philip's most treasured paintings which he has created over the past two years, with the aid of his art facilitator Linda Byrne.
